Well we have arrived in Venice. After bidding arrivaderci Roma we got on the train and arrived in Venice this afternoon. Unfortunately we brought the rain with us and it stayed for a few hours. This did not deter us from getting to our hotel and then setting out for a walk with umbrellas in hand. Venice is an amazing city to visit . Any pictures that you may have seen in magazines or on the tv really do portray what it really is like. There is water everywhere and the way that the buildings rise out of the water is really unbelievable. There are boats and gondolas wherever you look. I think that Gale and I are really going to remember this place as one of the best. This evening we went out for another walk before dinner and were not sure where we were going. The streets just twist and turn and you are not really sure where you are going to end up. It really is impossible to get lost because it is an island and there are always signs pointing you in the direction that you want to go to. I will leave this entry with a night picture of the Rialto bridge.

Beautiful shot... but where is the dreamy picture of you and Gale on the gondola? Someday, I hope to visit this wonderfully romantic city.

ps - good news on the house front - our house will likely be on the market before you arrive home! We meet with the realtors (again) on Saturday to sign the paperwork and go over the details! YIKES!
